When a house becomes a home
I'm pretty sure it's impossible to pinpoint the instant when your house becomes your home, but I'm also pretty sure that picking out house numbers and mounting them on the house must be up there on the list. It might have something to do with the cumulation of all the house projects we've been working on lately, but they are no where near done either. There is just something about seeing those numbers on there.
Yeah, we've had the house for well over 3 years now. When we bought the place the house numbers were on the garage door. The garage door we replaced almost exactly 2 years ago. It isn't so much that we've been ashamed of the house for 2 years and haven't wanted house numbers, it's more that we've been waiting until we (and by we I mean Travis) finishes the outside stucco and painting to put them on. Still a long way to go, but little by little we are getting there.

Krista, I don't remember the exact year ours was built, but it was definately in the 50s as well! Gotta love these old homes, they have character if not much else... ;)
